Human Design Mentor vs Learning On Your Own

Abigail Rebecca VIP Day

A question I get asked a lot is this: “Why would I come and work with you on my Human Design when I could just look it up myself online?”

And I understand why people ask. Human Design is free. You can generate your chart in seconds. There’s a wealth of information online about types, authorities, profiles, gates, channels, environments and strategies. You can explore it on your own if that’s what you feel drawn to.

But here’s the piece I want to share with you today: Information on its own doesn’t always lead to integration. A chart doesn’t become a guide until you can see how it fits into your life and business.

That’s where mentorship can be powerful.

My own Human Design path

I first discovered Human Design in 2016, at a business conference in Palm Springs. It caught my attention, but like many things in that period, I didn’t go much deeper at the time. I’d just left a long and successful career in corporate leadership. I was taking in a lot of new teachings. Human Design stood out, but it wasn’t until the following year that it started to make a real impact.

I didn’t just go off and study it on my own. What helped me understand and apply Human Design was working with mentors who already understood it. I was lucky to be guided by coaches who were aligned with the system and knew how to reflect my energy back to me.

That experience shaped how I approach mentorship now. I only work with people who understand Human Design. As a 4/6 Emotional Projector, I need guidance that’s in tune with my design, my energy and the way I lead.

Human Design is the science of differentiation

Your chart is unique. The way your energy moves, the way you make decisions, the way you relate to others. It’s all specific to you. That includes your strategy, your authority, your defined and undefined centres, your profile, and your environment.

What works for one person might not work for someone else because their energy moves differently.

This is the beauty of Human Design. It helps us understand ourselves more deeply and move forward in a way that reflects who we are. It’s not about fitting into a system, it’s about working with the way you’re naturally designed.

You need to embody your Human Design. That means understanding your chart, integrating it into your life, and letting it inform how you grow and lead.

How I work with Human Design

When a client comes to me for a Human Design reading, we start with what they want to create. That might be clarity in their business, confidence in their visibility, or more ease in their day-to-day energy. I ask questions, listen closely and learn what’s really important to them.

From there, I study their chart, looking at the key aspects that relate to their goals. That might include their gates, environment, definition, centres, profile, or inner authority. I pull out the elements that are most relevant to where they are right now.

This isn’t a generic reading. It’s a strategic session focused on growth, expression and alignment. I bring everything through with simplicity and clarity so it’s easy to work with.

I also offer in-person VIP Days, where we take this work even deeper. These sessions create space for long-term planning, strategy, embodiment, and personal connection. We meet somewhere beautiful and build something powerful from the inside out.

Why Human Design is at the heart of my work

Since 2016, I’ve mentored and coached women around visibility, confidence, and business growth. I’ve worked with global brands and supported entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. Over time, Human Design has become the foundation of all that work.

When I started integrating Human Design into my client sessions, things shifted. My clients felt more seen. They began making decisions from their authority, not pressure. They started creating visibility strategies that reflected their own energy, not someone else’s model.

They weren’t performing. They were expressing. They weren’t pushing. They were leading with clarity and presence.

Keeping Human Design simple

I often hear that Human Design feels complicated. And yes, it’s a layered system. There’s a lot to take in like lines, profiles, gates, channels and centres.

But it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. My role is to make the information clear and usable.

One of my strengths is breaking down complexity. My chart and Gene Keys reflect this too, simplifying systems and guiding people through them in a way that builds understanding over time. I bring that same energy to every reading, every programme, every video.

You don’t need to study for years to start living your design. You need clarity, consistency and the right kind of support.

What Kind of Entrepreneurs Benefit from Human Design?

I work with women in business who are ready to grow. They’ve already built something…clients, income, success…and they want to expand in a way that feels more aligned. They want to feel more confident, more expressed, more connected to their work.

They’re ready to be visible without overextending themselves. They’re ready to scale without sacrificing their values. They’re ready to lead from a place of inner certainty.

Human Design supports this. It shows us how you’re meant to operate and how to honour that in your strategy, your systems and your presence.

It’s possible to go and learn this on your own. But you don’t have to.

Working with someone who understands Human Design at a deep level can save time, energy and frustration. It can make the difference between knowing your chart and embodying it. It can support you in building a business that reflects your energy from the inside out.

That’s what I offer. That’s what I’ve lived. And that’s what I hold space for.
